I'm new to all this but is that normal? Would a stack through my box help that? I'm not actually sure how hard that is on a turbo. Watch the end of the vid.

The only way to stop a turbo from barking is a blow off valve . and yes repeated barking will kill turbo's , every so often ?????? I have barked mine from time to time with out a problem but will get a BOV if i ever do it often , like sled pulling or burn out to heat up tires at strip .

That can be tuned out since it's vvt.

I was wondering that!! Can't he put the vanes REALLY low across the board at 0mm3 - 10mm3 or so?? That should open it up I would think so it wouldn't create that problem.

Edit:

You could also contact Brayden and see what he normally does...?

The compressor is trying to compress atmosphere but since the volume of air created is too large to pass through the engine, the air is bypassed back around the compressor wheel. So.... whoosh whoosh.

At least that's my take. It's taken more than vane position to control it but a vane scheme could be developed. The only constant hard to deal with is the spinning mass of the compressor/exhaust turbine and shaft.

Easiest fix is to not come out of the throttle hard. Just keep hitting the throttle, and come down with the rpms slowly. That is what i do.

I do the same thing at the end of a pull but I think since you also have headers you are spooling up way faster than me at the end when you throw it in neutral and rev it. I have BOV set so it will go off in this situation at the end.
