Seems to be good reports about H&S so far, everyone seems to be happy with them. Sure it's no EFI but I guess beggers can't be choosers right now

I really can't decide what I am gonna do with mine. At first I was gonna leave it stock but I have been driving my LMM stock for awhile and driving my Dad's LML and just don't think I can do it:rolleyes:

I am honestly thinking about ditching everything and trying H&S. I don't know though lol:eek:

I have seen and heard them in high definition video.

I have also seen EFI Live tunes from "custom tuners" run even worse...so it depends on your perspective I guess.

It's like if you have never experienced a perfectly dialed in truck, then even a mediocre EFI Live tune will feel great to you.

Ya true it's all perspective there not great but not shit to me either but I've had a crap efi tune then got a good one lol so maybe that's why I think they don't run bad

Ben says embrace technology you backwards whiner! j/k I'm glad I bought an LMM, I didnt buy into the magical mpg numbers w/urea.

Lol. Sorry Ben, UREA and 400HP isn't the shit... :thumb:

I think I'm going to try H&S if nothing appears at least by mid summer. As of RIGHT NOW I have no other option. Since EFILive gave us the boot (no pun intended Cindy) we have to try anything and everything that works like back in the old days.

I was really hoping PPE would have something out by now but you can't get any info from them so...

X2 I think I will be trying it sooner or later also... Let me know how you like it if you do go with it.

LOL yeah I think I will end up trying about everything out there for a handheld tuner to figure out what I like best since no EFI:rolleyes::(
Sounds like Banks will be out later this year but don't know if they are doing race tuning or not. Anyone heard anything about Edge? I thought I had heard later this year as well??

Edge is already out.. When I go to vendors sites Edge and H&S are only ones that come up.

Is the H&S an ECM tuner?

If so, can you say Stacking?

That is how we got LLY's to run 12's before there were better options out there.

Takes a lot of experimentation, but you can often make almost as much power by stacking as you can with any other method. Might need a boost fooler too.

Edge stated they would be toward the end of the summer.

Yes Pat, H&S is a ECM tuner.

For Banks, you have to pay about x2 as much as you should, so I won't be visiting that option.

I have to say I was really sad when EFILive wasn't pursuing to support the LML right now, but I understand why.

I have a few buddies that "traded up" from LBZ's to LML's and they regret it now.

I was waiting for EFI to support the LML trucks as I have a few.

Does anyone know how the factory is doing a reflash on these trucks or loading the initial flash to the new computers if a new computer was purchased.

I see a bench harness that would be needed to flash these. Open the hood, unplug computer, read tune or program tune, plug computer in. and all is good.

Reflash on lml/lgh is the same as it always has been. Tech 2 or mdi, tis and program via dlc.

My understanding of the problem is reading the factory tune in the ECM, not flashing the new one.

I'm assuming the question of legality of the h&s tune surrounds how they acquired the base tune.

I wonder if it is possible for somebody to open up the ECm and install say a seperate bus connection that would allow you to read the ECM that way. I'm sure it would incur an extra cost, but I imagine many would pay it to be able to tune there 2011 trucks via EFILIVE.

I'm sure it is possible, but EFILive "Is not in that business"...

My suggestion was to have the initial "beta testers" to send in there computer (or give us instructions?) to get the tune. After about 20-25 customers you will have a nice base of stock tunes to work with and you're not violating the TIS agreement that way.

I think thats what EFI said would work, but they have bigger fish to fry these days then dinking with the LML.

They will be so busy dinking with the cummins guys that I will never be able to get a new truck ...:baby:
