the biggest reason a lope tune is retarded is cause it does the same damn thing a wing on a honda civic does, NOTHING! its all show and adds absolutely no affect to the engine performance wise like a cam in a small black or big block gasser does (and thats assuming you sized that properly).
you tricked the ECM into making the engine surge which sounds nothing like a big cam in a gasser and nothing like a heavily modded P-Pumped diesel. its like pulling a plug on a gasser "to sound cool" but 80% of the true truck and car guys know your "lope tune" is just a lame tune. it wont scare a guy at the light and if anything, people think there is something wrong with your truck.
unless you build the tune like a moron (which is entirely possible), you wont hurt the engine with a lope. guys use this as a scare tactic to keep kiddies from trying to buy lope tunes from tuners. there are mulitple ways to do it, some better than others but no way in hell im telling you how to do it. i wont let diesel performance be linked in with ricers...
