Looking for someone with alot of experience tuning a 4094vvt on a lmm. Who would you get to do it? As of now it runs very smooth BUT the lag is UNREAL and smokes like a bit@h let me know before this thing gets put in the trashcan:eek: the truck has 2cp3's 25over lmm tips and the all mighty 4094vvt i would think 650-700wrhp is what this combo should make right?

Thanks Sonny

i know duramax tuner tuned DMAXChris's truck with a 4094 into the real low 12's/high 11's. but honestly from what it sounds like any other reputable tuner will be better than what you have

Nick (Duramaxtuner) tunes mine and it has dual cp3's and 100% over nozzles. I am very happy with the tuning.

I believe dustin from diesel addiction has done a few also. His tuning is top notch

Shoot my stocker nearly pegs 1800 on the race tune at the end of the track.but yeah alot of fuel is needed to push that turbo to upper 600s. Id say dual fuelers and 100 overs.good tuning for sure. I run both rob and dustins tunes and both are so top notch

No way I'm gonna push mine that hard..maybe if it touched it as I cross the finish line but I'm hitting 1600 around 90mph. Until someone traps some high mph at the track or dyno it, I don't see this turbo pushing high 600s.

this turbo will not do high 600 hp with out egts peggin an 1800* gauge.

Not true, I cant get my EGT gauge to go over 1400* on my race tune going 120mph down the interstate. Also towing,a 12,000lb trailer on my street tune would barely touch 1300* running 80mph up a steep grade.

I have played with the vane tables a lot and this turbo runs the best with the vanes opened up. The more you close them down the more doggy it is off the line and the more smoke the truck will emit.

Your also not running 60 over injectors and stage 3 cp3...i bet it wont go over 1400 on a race tune with stock injectors you aint putting any fuel to it. Its not a bad turbo by any means but there are better single options if your lookin for big power.

My bad I just saw you said "high 600hp". If I had all that fuel on tap a 4094avnt would not be my first choice. However, if you throw a billet comp wheel and the 4" turbine housing on it, it might flow pretty good.

But then again has anyone really pushed this charger?

Im gonna make the switch soon to a billet single. As far as i know dmax chris, tyler@mpf and myself are the only ones really pushing this turbo. Im looking hard at precisions billet 67.

I dont think Im really pushing this turbo. EGTs are 1500 through the traps. Pulse is 2400 on the big tune with dropping rail pressure. Dual fuelers will help tremendously. I'd be willing to bet 700 would be doable with enough fuel. We'll find out before winter. I know its gonna be nasty with a s483 under it. :D

Like Ben said, opening the vanes up and letting heat drive the turbine will help with lag. Closing the vanes only makes it worse.
