My truck got broken in to and the idiots ripped the wires out of the back of my Edge juice pos stealing the monitor... Probably one of the greatest things that could have happened honestly though lol.

Im looking at the PPE programmer and a set of gauges to replace it with because the insurance gave me a nice chunk to replace the edge with.

Is the PPE a good one or is there better? Besides EFI Live anyway...

Stock trans and not looking to make big power? The Diablo Predator all the way... Cheap, and pretty good tuning.

Depends on what you want to do with your truck. If your looking at staying where you are the predator as mentioned above is a good tuner at a good price. I started out on one of those. If you plan on building the transmissoin down the road then id say get the ppe as there is more room to grow.:thumb:

If it's the 03 in your sig with a stock trans, the PPE economy would get my vote. DIABLO's are good, but I've heard they tend to run high EGT's on the LB7's(never verified this for myself as I don't have one to try).

I'll give another vote forthe predator. I really liked it. Smooth power on all the settings.

Lots of people like the PPE. Either will make your Allison not like you!

Efi is where it's at for sure, but if you don't need to turn off anything or aren't looking for big power the diablo is good! I liked mine, and I didn't notice the egts being any higher than with my efi. Very efficient, i got a best of 22mpg with mine. :thumb:

PPE standard gets my vote I loved it in my 03!! Just keep it level 3 or under. And you will have room to move up to level 5 if you do a lift pump and Trans

if you can afford ppe i would recommend you purchase efi live from a vendor and get a tune from one of them while you learn how to do your own tuning.

Had a superchips, then a quad II and now EFI on my personal truck and i have driven edge's and nothing compares to the driveability and smooth power of a well tuned stock trans ~400hp truck. Shop around and you will find its more affordable than you think and its from extremely reputable tuners.:thumb:
