I don't get it. For years a very small group of people call this guy a liar and/or a POS, but never say what he did to earn those titles and the same people have gone further and said his theories are bullshit and don't work. I have seen for myself some of the knowlege this guy has shared really does work.
The "group" isn't as small as some folk think.
As far as how he earns it so many years later?
There's a lot instances where he earns his title, but here's the most recent I know of (a few months ago):
Recently a dedicated SCTA LSR guy who is not into the "Tuna Wars" posted on a mostly non-diesel LSR site getting input for a new record class.
He wanted to develop a Production Diesel Class so there would records recorded for production diesel-powered cars and trucks. This only exists for gas.
Steve Cole jumps in (he's not a LSR racer) and starts petitioning for no production diesel classes at all.
What a dick. He posted a bunch of lies and insults on a board that doesn't even involve him, and is hassling guys he doesn't even know.
Why? Because he's pissed at me, and thinks that bad mouthing diesel racing on an LSR board will hurt my chances to race LSR.
No, since about 2006, he has been destructive to organized diesel pickup racing in all it's forms. There is a long list of racers he's trashed on the internet and the list grows each year. Mike Tomac, Gale Banks, Joe at PPE, Quad Boenker? and others were his first targets.
I'm certainly no angel, but you'll rarely find me trashing other racers on the internet. I help other racers at the track and promote diesel competition.
I imagine the heat will simmer down when he does, but he's still trashing pretty much everyone who races who has beat one of his sponsored entries. I don't see that changing, but would love for him to prove me wrong.
