I never liked the dude but wow. It's kinda pathetic to STILL see jab threads directed at him soooo many years later. I guess I've never really been one for holding immense grudges though. Suppose I may be a softy, don't like confrontation, naive, or whatever but this is just plain silly IMO.

Some of you guy's really need to let it go.........:rofl:

I take it he has not got into your nickers yet? I get a little tired of your brown nose comments. I've known hin since 1980. I watched him turn into the PS that he is.
Maybe you didn't know this pilgrim but myself, Guy, Tony, Pat were his biggest cheerleaders.
As far as letting it go; not in this lifetime. You and all his friends can kiss my ass.

I don't get it. For years a very small group of people call this guy a liar and/or a POS, but never say what he did to earn those titles and the same people have gone further and said his theories are bullshit and don't work. I have seen for myself some of the knowlege this guy has shared really does work.

Not that it matters but it's about stolen ideas , who pioneered what first and numerous other accusations. Also about EGO'S and long term scared friendships. In addition way back when this Duramax Performance world was a hobby for Steve not his main money earner.

If you shunned him or pissed him off he'd hold it against you in delivery of his tuning which in the beginning with the LB7 was second to NOTHING! So pretty much you had to be loyal to him almost a ass kissing scenario, or you paid for it. Not the best business practice but it is what it is. If you were loyal he took care of you.

Friendships loyalties changed through out the years which drug up alot of animosity ,industry secrets and more animosity. Which in turn made for POSSIBLE lies and POSSIBLE accusations. So you either pick a side or remain neutral as no one really knows the 100% truth basically it's a diversion to make everyone involved in the what was once a tight circle look like POS's.

There is no doubt in the beginning and still today he is very knowledgeable in Duramax performance. He is a smart guy problem is there are a lot of SMART guys out there now not only with the LB7 but all models . Steve basically stuck with the LB7. Now with the intro of EFI and all the knowledgeable people out there no one has to put up with his business tactics. Have I been put in that situation of the waiting game, definitely.

Still today there is a lot of animosity out there even tho there is only a handful of his tuned trucks out there bridges have been burnt to the point of as it seems only a funeral will make it go away. :D

I could care less who is wrong and who is right other than Mike is a stand up guy who is really really helpful and knows a lot more about this than I care to and I don't believe he has done anything but being part of a diversion to look not credible in case secrets come out.

Tony on the other hand logged TTS's Extreme program for months to develop his Moonshine tune. :roflmao:

You see thats how it starts!

One thing for sure there will NEVER be a kiss and make up.

The "group" isn't as small as some folk think.

As far as how he earns it so many years later?

There's a lot instances where he earns his title, but here's the most recent I know of (a few months ago):

Recently a dedicated SCTA LSR guy who is not into the "Tuna Wars" posted on a mostly non-diesel LSR site getting input for a new record class.

He wanted to develop a Production Diesel Class so there would records recorded for production diesel-powered cars and trucks. This only exists for gas.

Steve Cole jumps in (he's not a LSR racer) and starts petitioning for no production diesel classes at all.

What a dick. He posted a bunch of lies and insults on a board that doesn't even involve him, and is hassling guys he doesn't even know.

Why? Because he's pissed at me, and thinks that bad mouthing diesel racing on an LSR board will hurt my chances to race LSR.

No, since about 2006, he has been destructive to organized diesel pickup racing in all it's forms. There is a long list of racers he's trashed on the internet and the list grows each year. Mike Tomac, Gale Banks, Joe at PPE, Quad Boenker? and others were his first targets.

I'm certainly no angel, but you'll rarely find me trashing other racers on the internet. I help other racers at the track and promote diesel competition.

I imagine the heat will simmer down when he does, but he's still trashing pretty much everyone who races who has beat one of his sponsored entries. I don't see that changing, but would love for him to prove me wrong.
