Galaxy S4 all the way. The latest comparison between the iphone 5 and Galaxy s4 was a win for the Galaxy. They did stack up in most areas pretty well. Processor speed is amazing with the Galaxy S4. I was really looking @ the iphone 5 but am glad I went Galaxy s4.:thumb:

Just out of curiosity, has anyone here used the google nexus 4? Its really appealing because its like 299$ new, and basically comparable the the galaxy series. Thats the one thing, with ST you have to buy you'r own phone.

I have played with a lot of smart phones.

I still seem to go back to the iPhone. Ease of uses and does not crash as much as the Android phones. I do not like the windows phones at all and BB is dead in my books.

I will buy a new iPhone when my 4S dies.

PS as long as you can JB them you can do just about anything.

I've always heard of jailbreaking the phones but no idea what extra it lets you do. Give me some "for instance" differences that it allows you to do other than use any sim card type phone on another sim card network.

Turn on/off wifi,data,3G,location,bluetooth ect. From notifications pull down screen. No need to close apps to do that.

With apps like Flex you can remove ads and make apps let you use landscape mode that don't most of the time like FB.

Here is a list of a few JB apps/tweaks.
PKGBackup
Activator
SBSettings
Zeppelin
3G Unrestrictor
ifile
Terminal
My Free VPN
AdBlocker
AutoAppKiller
Barrel
Battery Info
Browser Chooser
Camera Tweak
Cyueue
IconControl Pro
Lockscreen Clock Hide
MarkThatMessage
ReSpring Fast
Signal 2
WiFi Booster
InfiniFolders
Kill Background
Flex

A favorite jailbreak mod I have allows me to just swipe up on the lock screen to start my music, then use the volume buttons to skip songs. Less distraction when controlling your music while driving.

Another one I just stumbled upon was Smart 3G. If your phone connects to a wireless network it shuts off cellular and 3G and uses the wireless for everything. Has literally DOUBLED my battery life.

Activator - Can program any buttons/gestures to do pretty much anything
CallBar - Makes incoming calls show up as notifications at the top, instead of taking up the whole screen
CleverPin - Disables password entry when connected to specific wireless (aka: at home)
DataCarrier - Puts the date where the carrier name goes
f.lux - Dims the screen with a incandescent hue at night so the screen doesn't blind you
PanoMod - Panorama pictures with Iphone 4
Phantom - Save Snapchat pics/extended video feature
Stride - Draw designs to unlock phone, instead of 4 digit number
SwipeShiftCaret - When typing, swipe left or right to move the cursor (instead of using the magnifying glass)
MyWi 6.0 - Turned my Iphone 4 into a wifi hotspot without paying Verizon the extra fee.
PandoraSkips - Unlimited skipping in Pandora

So after you jailbreak where/how do you do all that cool stuff?

I used one called Absinthe but there are others like redsn0w. Just make sure it will be a untethered one.

Once jailbroken go to Cydia to search for the stuff in the list. You may need to add repos to find all of it but most will be there.

Update: so I ended up giving straight talk a try. The Google nexus 4 dropped to 250$ for 16gb version, so picked one up! So far, its awsome!

I've only had it activated for a couple of days, so I'll see how the service is doing in several week's. :)
