We did not have any trucks there. I am all for close competition but in a fair way. I am simply stating that some of those trucks where a mere 600 area hp truck. 600hp in Indiana Ohio area is a 2.6 truck and even then 600 wont get you in the top 25 at scheids event. I am not routing for scheid in any which way I am not taking any sides at all. Once again Sorry for stating an opinion of what I was seeing. Take a look at all these videos put them up on your big screen and slow them down frame by frame. The box was done in its progression by about the 285-290 area on the first place truck in this class and she ended up caring it out. Which is very impressive. The thing that gets me is you can slow it down frame by frame and many times once the Box was done on its progression fwd the truck was done in its tracks but the box is done in fwd progression at different points of the track. If you crank up the surround sound you can hear the pans air drop out at different points as well.
Take a look at the time the tires start moving till the time they hit the 100'ft mark. 90 percent of the time the fastest truck to 100' will win the pull.
Sorry for stating an opionion on a open forum!
Hey dude, thats what forums are for...opinions and questions. Otherwise there would be nothing to talk about
I guess either my surround sound doesnt work quite like yours, or maybe I just dont know what I am listening for. It also might be because there is no bag on the sled to bring the pan up or down. The only way to raise it up is to put it in "Haul Mode" which brings the pan up really high...it would be obvious, and the pan would never touch the ground.
As for the weight box, that starts moving when the rear wheels on the sled start to move. The sled operator has no way of sending faster, slower, sooner...
I know that next time you are out, they would be happy to let you in the cab and go for a ride. That way you can see for yourself there is nothing the sled operator can do to "cheat".
I hope that this can kind of lay some of the accusations here to rest, the whole event was in the name of competition, not rigged competition. Its not very much fun if you cant win on your own...then its not a sport, its just tugging 60,000 lbs down a strip of dirt.
