Truck wont start, cranks fine but won't run

I had to take my fiance to work her shift at the hospital last night in the blizzard and the truck decided to take a shit. I let it run for 20 min to warm up and drove it for 15 minutes before it shut off. The temp/compass started to flicker on and off then my cts shut off, then the gauges all stopped reading followed by the abs/service 4wd light. I pulled over to restart it and couldn't get it to turn over. My batteries are fine, the starter didn't struggle to crank. My cluster lights up and my gauges move slightly, but they aren't getting any info (I have a full tank of fuel and the needle is on E).My radio, dome lights and door locks don't work but my power windows do. From what I've read so far, I guess I need to check my grounds of the ecm and batteries?

That sounds just like what my truck did when the alternator wasn't charging. You should stick a volt meter on the batteries and see what they are actually reading for voltage.

It is possible the cold just killed one or both of them, and the bad battery drug the voltage down low enough the truck can't start.

I'd pull the batteries and individually load test them.

Unhooked the batteries for 5 minutes, replaced the stud 2 fuse, cleaned the terminals with a wire brush and re-attached batteries and the truck turned right over. Good to go, thanks for the help guys
