When you do the ecm to bcm relearn that I posted, You turn the key on for 11 mins after that 11 mins turn key off and right back on for 11 mins then off and right on again for 11 mins, after the 3rd 11mins turn key off then dont wait and try to start. When you are turning the key off after each 11 min do not leave it off long at all just off then right on again make sure not to let it go to the start position.

With the glow plug light I have never seen mine, I had to turn it on with efi live thru the dvt to see were it was.I have had it were with my ecm i have lost the OS and the ecm still had a vin and had to do a full reflash. Not sure if you have anyone around you with a LMM, The vin does not need to match your truck if you swap that ecm into your truck and do the relearn it will start if you did burn your ecm up.I care a extra ecm in the back door. Good Luck

i gotta friend with a lbz 07. the snap on scanner and efi cant even connect to the ecm. its like its unplugged. no vin, nothing.

sorry but i dont understand how that 11 minute method will work if the ecm is completely "shut off " from the truck.

and i did the method wrong the first time, so cant tell if it would have worked or not

im so bummed right now. i feel like it might as well have started and sent a rod through the block. im miss my truck:(

oh ya, the snapon scanner could "talk" to everything but the ecm

Did the snap on have the candi adapter. When my ecm was in like dead mode,You could turn the key on and dash would light up and everything else go to start and nothing at all.Sometimes the 3 11 min relearn works if not had to do a full flash.I'm not sure if the LBZ ecm will work in the LMM I think it will to start but would not act right.Be nice if you had someone with a LMM.

nderstand how that 11 minute method will work if the ecm is completely "shut off " from the truck.

Its GMs little tricks you can use when you dont have the right tools.

Sort of like cycling the key 3 times to reset limp mode and pressing the accelerator 3 times to reset oil life and a whole host of others i cant remember.

Yeah try henrys method. Dont ask just try it :D
If its not that sometimes you can get a weird BCM lockout. Which if that were to happen I think that it has to be remedied with a tech2

doing this relearn is what resets the ecm to the bcm. also the candi adapter is about 4" by 6" and is in line with the OBD plug.must have it for the tech 2 or the snap on, and the snap on can only read parts of the truck without it the same as the tech 2 witout it.
