If you don't have front end mods I would not be launching in 4wd.

Joe did it for a long time with no sleeves or supports....not the smaetest thing, but as long as your tierod angles are flat, it doesn't throw as much twist at the pitman an idler support as when the tierods are at an angle. Might get away with it for a bit

I did it plenty o times with out anything... All I did was lower the t bars. Launched very nice too! Don't let it keep you from racing. Slap those braces and sleeves on asap though
