The truck has a 4" exhaust with a open muffler and banks air. Every thing else is stock. It's the same probe hole that the edge was in I just changed probes when I put manual gauges.

What is the depth of the probe? Did you follow the manufactures recommendations for tip placement?

Didn't know it had a specfic way to put it in. I put it in the hole till it bottomed out and puleed it out about 1/4" and tightened the set screw. What is the proper way to set it?

Level 4 of the PPE programmer is the first level that ADDS FUEL. 1-3 are simple adjustments to timing etc for towing. Levels 4+ increase fuel accordingly.

Here is just one example of this companies suggested positions. What brand probe and gauge did you install?

Notice picture of probe. Normally, only the tip senses temps.

Well hell if the wife says that then go put it on level 10 and destroy it real quick :)

Edit to add, my EGT probe is in the passenger manifold... pushed it all the way down in the manifold and then pulled it out about halfway so it's right in the middle of the exhaust flow in the manifold.

I doubt it's the EGT probe or a bad file. Basically what you have going on here is your running a mild tune and your transmission is hurt.

Once you build the transmission you'll see a world of difference in EGT's and power to the ground.
