truck for Little Brother

so my little brother wants to get a pickup. something just to pull a trailer with lawn equipment on it in the summer and be able to snow plow in the winter.

he wants a Dmax so it can get tuned (can you blame the kid).... i said try something older due to the price, but stay with the diesel so it will last a long time as long as it it taken care of.

what yr and modle of truck should i tell him to get? 12v, 24v, 7.3L


body style he wants is SC/LB

24v eat injection pumps like lb7s eat injectors. I say either an early dmax, 12v, or a late model 7.3.

lol i have to agree.. engine = durable truck = junk. most of the time they have over 300k and need alot of tlc on the rest of the truck.

Have him to find a wreak that is not hurt to bad and fix it up alot of my buddys have cc/sb 04,05,06 duramaxs with under 70,000 miles for $12,000 and less in them and they still are very realiable.
