Turns out it doesn't like to be launched on pavement with 37X14.5s....

it would do this strange shift power back and forth rocking the truck, when I pulled it out the clutches were falling out of it

Pull the cover and rotate the driveshaft until you can see the shafts in the locker unit. Check to see if teh shafts teeth are stripped off as this isn't uncommon.

I thought all of the 4x4 2500+ during those years were G80 equipped?

1 tire fire!! :woott:

There was a package that it came in that almost every truck has, but I can't remember which one it was. As I recall, Trent's race truck came equipped with an open rear differential.

They don't like 35's either, I have one wheel peel, over a 1/8 th inch of play, and hick-up when rolling down the road. I'm switching out mine today or tomorrow.

Good day,

I got the DSP5 setup from Idaho Rob with setting number 4 being an added 70hp and 5 an added 90hp. Question is when up-shifting the truck seems to miss a beat. It just feels like you hit traction control and then starts pulling again. I can't really explain it better than that... Would that be my tranny? Or maybe rail pressure dropping? I honestly don't care that much for it but I am curious to know why.

Sounds like its defueling to me, mine defuels hard to save parts.
