So this morning I'm driving out to the job and notice my truck was smoking like a train. White smoke like crazy. I just had the all 8 injectors replaced not even 500 miles ago. I checked the oil no signs of fuel. Opened coolant cap no pressure and no pressure in the crank case. Not sure what the problem might be. Is this maybe the injectors getting worn in or something? Also my intake air heater is turned off but my truck was 180* when I noticed it outside temp was around 15*. Oh and I smelled the white smoke when it was smoking and didn't really smell like anything other then exhaust. Thanks for any input.

If no pressure in the coolant and no odd smell it could have just been a humid day. Diesels can plume out exhaust moisture just like gasoline vehicles can when it's really cold out.

I did just notice that one of our 6.0 company trucks did the same thing for a sec. Smoked for a sec then quit

did it do this right after starting the truck? And was this the coldest your truck has seen since turning the grid heater off?

My red truck would do that up in duck creek. Goes up to 9000 ft, turbo sounds like crap and it would haze white constantly. Never did it in vegas.
