If I already have efi live tunes im happy with and have no gauges yet, if I get an edge cts2 with data log package,I should be able to read codes and clear them and be able to give valuable information to anyone trying to help me with a problem I might have ? I was considering buying an efi v2 to read and clear codes but after talking to one of the vendors here,he told me I might be better off getting the cts and since i told him any future tunes I get would be in house on dyno I would have no need for efi licenses . Would it be advisable to also buy a knock off Tech 2 to assist in trouble shooting ? Thanks for any advice ,and I do know i need gauges , Mike at Greensburg machine already yelled at me LOL.

Agreed there isn't a need for the v2. My only issue with the edge is the initial cost then add $100 for an egt probe then if you want ACCURATE boost pressures it's another $100 sensor. That puts you over $500. $200 and some change gets you a new set of glow shift gauges. Which get a lot of hate but I love mine for the price. I got my gauges and just picked up an edge to monitor rail pressures and switch tunes. Mainly for the back up camera and price tho

Thanks for your input , I didnt even think about the backup camera ,thats a plus for a dd like mine , what about the clone tech 2 to narrow down problems ? Anyone have good results like Mike L with the clone tech 2 ?

Who looks at gauges at the track? Only time Ive ever really paid attention to EGT is when towing the TT years ago.

My Spek Gauges have recall so I can ck after the run. During the run I'm just hanging on;) And the clone tech 2 has been good from what I have read.

I'll second the spek gauges. Super high quality, look great, and have recalls plus hi & lo limit warnings. Have been using them for years on many trucks.

Time to do more homework with the new information you all have taken time to share, thank you ! I dont want to just throw money at the truck and regret my decision later.I would have made alot of mistakes by now if it was not for this site and the people on it that I have been watching for several years without communicating with until now, thanks.
