Sorry to start a thread just for this, but I am having trouble finding some kind of trim ring for a 5" hood stack. Black would be preferable, but at this point something would be better than nothing. Needs to be 5"

Found the kits, but I don't need the kit, just the ring... thanks for any ideas :thumb:

Simon used a C-2 "steel" out of a Allison , search around here there is a pic of it , but that would only work if you used 6" pipe / stack . My truck I used a hood stack kit from Grand Rock and it came with it .

Dang... if my current stack was 6" that could be an option. But I'm just going to cut down my black mbrp 5" stack. Thanks for the ideas though guys...

I used a piece of an old road sign we had at work and cut it with a 4 1/2 angle grinder. Painted black with stainless counter sunk bolts. I can post a pic tomorrow from my laptop.

The pipe coming out of the turbo is 5" , so the stack itself would have to be 6" at least , I just checked the ID of a C-2 steel and it was 6" , didnt you make him his rain cap  :roflmao: JK Levi

That's why I asked. :) Both the ones he's asked for have been 5". Maybe that's why we're on cover #2. I'll blame it on the metric system. :spit:

Oops, didn't see your edit. I win. 1-0, your move.

That c2 is pretty cool lol! Thanks for the thread,

The pic of yours was in that thread too. Came out real nice!!

Gets me thinking I could stick something in the lathe and make something that should work pretty well... just I don't trust paint and I want it black.... maybe I'll use more bed liner

thanks guys,

Here is the pic (with matching hood pins ;)). You won't have any issue with paint on the ring.

The stack has three small "L" tabs welded to the bottom edge of it and they bolt to the ring basically sandwiching it to the hood. Then the 4" pipe off my turbo fits slightly up into it when the hood closes.
