over the weekend i installed my twin kit from Trent. overall nice kit. i had to wing the install as i didnt have any instructions (not written yet i think lol) but Trent was HUGE help over the phone. everything fit fairly well. mucho bending of some a/c lines as mine are different then Trents but everything fit. the biggest problem i ran into was the downpipe. Trents truck has an 8" lift and got everything out of the way. i had to cut 3" off the end to get it to snake in and 1 3/8" out of the middle to get it to fit the exhaust. we will find out if its just my truck thats weird or if the downpipe needs to be re-worked. hopefully its just my truck but its just a heads up for the kits out there to be installed yet.

driving impressions....truck is way quieter. got rid of the drone i had with the stack. whistle isnt too loud. i have a race cover and in another post Trent is testing a race cover and said it was quieter. anyways i dont have a tune for the twins but with Nicks (duramaxtuner) 425 rwhp tow tune its laggy down low but once the second charger lights it wants to pull real hard. i cant get any good readings with the tune as it hits boost over pressure in 3rd and just quits pulling lol. i also dont have 2 boost gauges yet but max boost so far has been around 40-43 with spikes to 45#'s (crack pipe completely closed) and egt's around 1150*. i guess that all doesnt help much but i feel with the right tune it will be a screamer. had some asshole not stole my computer and efilive id have a tune:mad::mad::mad:

anyways a huge thanks to Trent for putting up with all my phone calls. i heard i was the first one to install the kit so being the guinny pig wasnt too bad at all. hopefully i can offer some help to those whose kits are in the mail and i know Trent will for sure.

thanks for listening:thumb:

To get the LB7 downpipes out I unbolt them an work them towards the passenger side through the bottom. Then I use a piece of round stock and just tap it with a hammer until it falls out the bottom. Oh yeah and congrats and post up some pics!

I was wondering when the first kit would be put on a truck:thumb: Really sucks that your computer and efilive got picked up by those A-holes:mad: Hope they get whats coming to em. But its good to hear you got em on alright. Curious about the downpipe though. I was lookin at mine the other day and it looks like a biatch to get out of there but if cutting it in half works then I might do that right off the bat instead of f-ing up anything trying to get it out:confused: hope you get it tuned soon cuz I am will be waiting for another week or so to see mine so I will live vicariously through ya till I get mine:hug: X2 on some pics:D

Did you call efi and have them lock your programmer? And some computers have tracking in them now dont they? Thought my in-laws DELL had something of that sorts.

yeah i got ahold of efilive and had them lock it. i actually posted on this board about it in case anyone found one for sale that didnt know anything about it. and the computer was 5 years old so i doubt it had any type of tracking.

Glad you got them on Rob and didnt mind the calls at all  , hopefully you can post up some pics after you gety some color on the pipes eventually , and ya the tuning def needs some changes for the twins , boost codes need taken care of and the MAF needs to be rescaled ( thats why its laggy ) along with a few more things but szhe will def run good when its gets tuned up right ! keep me posted on the truck and the down pipe is already in the works of being tweeked , I didnt even think about my truck having the dropped bracket for the torsion bars

Those look bad ass. Totaly sick:coolspot:. Hey Trent i will help ya with writing a nice set of directions for the kits and future kits if ya want. I will be taking lots of pics through the build so I can take notes and help ya if needed:hug: Also will the plastic inner fender be able to put back in for the stealth look;) or does it need to be modded?

My fender liner is in the truck , just needs a small oval section cut out or re-shaped with a heat gun , I am already workingon the instruction and there will be a thread ( sticky) in my vendor section with the instructions , I like the kits , already have some change's i want to make so they will evolve for sure and with feed back will continue to tweek and adjust for the best fit possible .

Also cant wait to see/ post up some pics of some completely finished / powdercoated kits , most of the pics from myself have been of bare kits no prep work or "primping" , spray painted , ect its makes a big difference trust me.

yeah i will be painting them hopefully soon. i know i cheaped out on the plating options :O: lol. oh well things happen for a reason...i would have destroyed the coating on the downpipe wiggling that thing in and out :D.

on that note some other mods i had to do included cutting the bump off the inner fender to get the overflow tank to fit. my truck was hit on that side a few years ago and most likely shifted everything to the drivers side. and the 2 vertical studs for the battery tray needed to be cut off to clear the downpipe
