getting p0700 code trans gets stuck in 3rd gear then it wont take reverse or drive an says shift range inhibited. anybody have any suggestions to fix it? trans is built.

You're going to need to give more info than that. There's more codes than that I'd bet, you need a better scanner
P0700 is the standard code for a transmission issue, you'll need a better scanner like a tech 2 to find the actual P07xx code. Once you have those specific codes, we'll have a starting point.
Moved into Mike's Transmission area. Be prepared, b/c he's going to rip you for not scanning the TCM further to find the rest of the codes.
you need to connect to the TCM not the ECM and pull the code out of the TCM I bet Incorrect 5th gear ratio, and limp mode. that's my guess
Sounds like C3 clutch is gone. Codes would help a lot.

I'm floored not one comment about sheep or him giving them the night off, besides I didn't know she could drive. I will say for as mean and scary as people think he is on here that mike is hands down one of the coolest people I've ever talked to on the phone. You'd swear you've known each other for years.
ok well it only randomly does it itll shift up through the gears fine but once in a while when u go to a stop sign itll get stuck an wont go out an then it wont take reverse or drive after that. and i built it myself.
