Transmission Issues this Morning

I hate when that happens! I had the same problem recently and just wound up replacing all the lines. I'm sure in 50k miles i will be doing it again :banghead: Between those lines and the steering on these trucks I wonder if the same engineer designed both and was drunk when he did so!

Another thing that is very annoying is that I can't find the correct size fitting. GM parts department are having a hard time find the correct fitting, and I even checked out Transtar with no luck. WTF!

For future reference there is a clip available from GM by itself, ther part#88996648 and if your changing the connector again the part number for that is #88996645 if you need some other numbers looked up let me know. Good Luck man

Give me the last 8 didgets of your vin and I'll find you the fitting that was on your truck, The number I just gave you was for an 08 2500HD. But if you have your vin number I can verify it for you and even locate one for you as well..

Thanks West and Mitch for those part numbers. They were the correct ones. Everything is back together and is not leaking. :happy2:

Mike L - I remember reading one of your post, can't remember what website but I thought you said Torque Drive is not the best fluid for our transmissions. What do you recommend?

I have a deep pan on the transmission, how much fluid do I need. Sorry I can’t remember. :eek:
