LB7: Transmission does not shift up after putting it into D or 3

Hi there,
I have a 02 duramax with 318000 km on it, now my problem is it does not want to shift up after putting it into Drive it stays in 1st gear, we switched the NSBU switch 10000km ago, and the indicator in which gear it is in does not show up either and the engine check light is on.
Help would be much appreciated.

I got it fixed it was the NSBU switch but thank you for your help
