I'm impressed with how things look. I would have to imagine the weight of your truck will allow the hard parts to last slightly longer than in a DD. Anything can happen at your power level though. Good Luck!!
Thats the beauty of it IMOP , I haven't done any thing on the truck that isn't easily and affordable to duplicated not to mention there is almost a how to on the pages of this site , ya some may not want a light weight racer like mine, or maybe they even might want a similar one much better built lord knows i would do a lot different after doing it , but that is part of the learning process , at least if it does work then they will at least know a direction to head. But like i said we are still a ways away from success , IMOP if we can make it 1/2 a season ( 30-40 passes in the low 10's to high 9's with the clutches , and no hard parts failure's assuming i add c-2 hub and billet output to take out those 2 week links i will be happy if it can do that .

I don't know of too many guys that got it right the first time. I would say you have done a great job and got really damn close. For you to fire that thing up and make some shake down runs then hit 146mph, I would say that is a serious accomplishment. I've enjoyed the build sitting here in my chair and would love to see it in person someday. I would hope some guys can take the info and development and put it to good use. I know you have got some serious time and effort into the truck and can't wait for it to come full circle for you. I think your being kinda hard on yourself:rofl:.

As far as the 2 weekest links, nothing seems to be damaged? It's hard to tell from the pics of course. Do you think it's the HP or the launches that would take them out? I would assume the launch will take out the output. I'm not familiar with the C2 hub failing. Could you explame please. I'm sure it's been covered many many times but I can't recall it.

Are those the new GMAX style C3's and C4's?

Those are the new Suncoast GMAX C3/C4 frictions. Great testimonial for there power holding ability.

TrentNell - Bad ass truck for sure! That's the way it should be done:thumb:

how much difference do you think an extra 1k lbs would make while running your setup Trent? is the line separating broken parts from unbroken parts that thin?

I heard Dmitri's truck had some trans issues too. Have you guys had a chance to look at it yet?

Mike is doing Dimitri's Transmissions now , Haven't heard of him having a problem though but with out being in the loop you never know , he did strip the C-2 hub before the challenge , thought it was a converter untill it was disassembled , but hasn't had anything since that i know of ? he will be racing at Douglass next weekend . I will be putting my trans back in this weekend with the same converter , I wont have time to send it off if i want to make this race , so mine will be going back in with minimal changes so we will see how it fairs .

Not sure , I know the weight is helping a bunch but not sure what the sweet spot is though , my truck is the only one i really trust what i find on because i have control over every inch of it , tuning , power , abuse ect i now every detail .

What??!! You're still using the stock flexplate? Damn! I can't believe it! I'm starting to wonder if all the parts I bought was really worth it? I mean, I'm sure they are but seeing you do what you are with your truck really has me thinking. I seriously think you have a horseshoe up your rear lol

Continue the great work and thanks for sharing all this info:thumb:

most people take my truck wrong , its not like i had the money but skipped the parts because i thought they stock parts would hold , I have built the truck on tight budget , and some of that is waiting until somethings breaks to upgrade certain pieces ,and made sure the truck is as light as possible to better my odds of the parts holding , if money wasnt an issue i would more than likely have a very different build , but the plus side for alot of people is it is good for seeing what the breaking point is for a lot of items :baby:
