Installing a transgo kit in a 88k mile tranny this week. Any point in changing c1, c2 clutches while its open?

If yes, stock, alto, or raybestos (if available).

Anything else I should do/look for while its opened up?

Thanks

What trans? 5 speed or 6? If its a five and your going to get that far into the tranny i would suggest installing a complete kit..

I'd love to do a full kit but don't have the money right now.

The full Transgo kit will have to do for now.

Thanks

If you ran any kind of power program on it you are pissing in the wind with the Transgo. You have clutch damage.

10-4 got it now. what about trans go kit, your high pressure reg spring and a TCC flow valve Mod? could stock clutches hold a little more power than?

Id still do a kit.. It may hold more, but for how long? No one knows. Tear into it once and be done with it. IMO

The allison we put in came out of 8.1L with 88k on it. Everything looked good inside to a couple novices, put the transgo in it, switched converters and put it in the truck.

Shifting great so far and no codes!

My original alli will get built in the spring, this one is to get me through plowing season.
