I'm struggling to complete a Transgo Jr install on an 08 2500HD and I need some advice. While putting the valve body back into the truck, I pulled a wire out of one of the connectors to one of the solenoids on the valve body. I don't think I can repair the connector while it's on the truck. The wire is too short and there is no room to work. I do think it's repairable if I cut the wire so that I can take the connector to the work bench to fix it. Once repaired, I could splice the wires back together and reconnect to the solenoid. Since these wires are normally immersed in trans fluid, I don't suppose it would matter if the splice is also immersed after the repair. Anyone know of any better way to repair this? When I say the wire pulled out of the connector, I mean the end of the wire pulled out of the crimped end of the connector. The metal crimp is protected by the plastic shell and tough to get to.
