This is the tune I tried and messed with the mph by bumping it up 2mph at a time to try and get it shift at 4000 rpms. It has never worked. Am I missing something?

Increase the WOT cells in all modes like normal, tow haul, hot, etc, I have mine shifting at 3600 and works well. I tried mine without raising the MPH and it still worked and shifted at 3600. I found that I had to raise the rpm in all the different modes though.

I never tried one or the other, I always did both tables and it would shift at the 3700 rpm I specified. The 3-4 shift was always terrible and banged hard so after a day or so I put them back to stock. I'm sure the crap 3-4 shift is because of my c2 stack up. Once I refresh my trans with a correct input drum I will try the tables one at a time and see how it goes.

If you look at the tune i've posted a link to I did all of that.

Ive never messed with shift MPH, only shift RPM and mine clicks off 4200 shifts just fine.
Im so jelous lol
Brian, does your truck run better with that high of a shift point?

Hell yea they do! Any big single LOVES rpms! Frickin allison just doesn't want to shift when I want it to. It always takes the tune. I wonder if its got something to do with my co-pilot?

D5042-D5045 tables. What do those do? Do I need to raise the rpm values in those cells? Might have just found it. Speedo was changed in the tune for my 285/75/16's but wasn't in the transmission speedo calibration. Maybe it wasn't jiving with how fast the truck was actually going?

Thats because when your commanding it to shift, its doing a 3-4 shift then locking the converter at the same time. Its violent. Now you should be fine if you have your slip limit in your trans tune adjusted so it locks in 2nd gear.

Slip limit is disabled and it locks in 2nd gear. The bang on the 3-4 shift is because of my c2 clutches. To many clutches in the c2 causes a tie up on the 3-4 shift and the increased rpm amplified it. You won't have issues with it on a properly set up input drum.

I am wondering how well my co-pilot is working and if it is hindering my tcm, I have wanted to mess with my tranny tuning but I haven't been sure if they will play nice together.

My trans shifts great fwiw. I know thats hard to believe but just doesn't want to shift at any rpm I command. I'll have to try the new tune I just changed and see if it changes anything.

Fwiw mike you and I have the same c2 stack mine does not hang or tie up

What hydraulics do you run? Cause I never noticed the tie up until I increased line pressure and modified the converter flow valve. Either way, 8 clutches in the c2 ties up the shift. I thought I could here it in you're truck when we were at NADM watching you go down the track.

Go back to your TCM tune that runs great, then just change only the WOT shift RPM and save and try it. I tried messing with the shift speed BS years ago on my LBZ and never got it to shift right, would hang and shit. :happy2:

stock heads/cam doesn't make more power up there, but when it shifts it's back where it does. Plus the single turbo likes the RPM's. Under 2000rpm my boost is 0psi. Dyno says peak power is right at 3600rpm.
