so I had the truck scanned the other day and got p0700, p0741, and p0743.

The truck was getting the range inhibited message for reverse every so often, sometimes it works great in the morning and other days not at all. so we replaced the NSBU switch. we thought it fixed it but had no reverse today at work.

called an international repair shop and told him the story he thinks its either a bad wire or a bad PWM solenoid.

when we had it scanned we cleared the codes and drove it around for it bit, came back to scan it again when the CEL came on. this time only p0743 showed up about a min later p0700 did and p0741 hasnt come back on yet.

Where can I get a PWM/TCC solenoid? its a gen 4 1000 6spd.

Thanks

p1860 is no longer used. Only old scanners still use this number. Drop the pan an ohm the solenoid. It should be 7-15 ohms

ohmed the old one and got 0. ohmed the new got 11.x so we replaced it and now no more range inhibited problems. we used part #8683187 from ac delco. Thanks Mike! you saved us the labor charges. It was very very easy to replace. anyone could do it! :D:D:thumb:
