CAT dr,

did you find or do anything with your trans?

my fluid level is fine. I am replacing my cooler with an Earl's cooler and will blow out all the lines to ensure there is no blockage. After that, I think my issue may be my converter.

If your converter is shedding clutch lining, flushing won't get the crap out. You will need to pull your cooler line out of the radiator and get the crap out.

I will check the radiator too when I pull all the lines off.

I don't think the convertor is shedding lining, at least when I dropped the pan and changed the sump filter, there were no bits of anything in there. But, I know that my convertor has gone soft just like in another thread where others were talking about theirs doing the same. When the suncoast stage III with 1056 was new, my truck felt like a slingshot when I stepped on the gas. Not so much now, but I also don't have the big tune in it now.

I am thinking of maybe going with a goerend convertor this time if the cooler and cleanup doesn't fix anything.
