4wd clicks shifts off alot quicker and more firm. I can tell for sure it puts power to the ground alot better with zero knock down. I'm in love.

Still not even high enough the slide the trans out from under. You have to tip the bell housing down ward while sliding it out/under.

There she is in all her glory.

Dropped the c1/c2 drum back in after checking the c3's. They looked great still...i would hope so considering the initial build only has 18,000 miles at 600hp. Yup, my garage is massive and I have all kinds of room to work in there...As you can clearly tell.

And now the pic of the day. Takes the cake for sure! Only jack I have is a floor jack and when I originally built the trans it was a BITCH getting the trans back onto the floor jack...Under neath the truck...im quite proud of myself for even thinking of the tie down idea. Worked like a champ! Slid my jack right underneath!

Haha, I've had to tilt mine under the frame more times then I'd like to remember removing and installing it:) Such fun doing the transmission without a lift.

Very nice work! Clean garage by the way not to mention only a couple spots of tranny fluid on the ground, impr:hail:essive! I hope you had some helpers to get the trans back in and out.

Did you not use an engine stand with a pto mount to build it? You just built it on the ground?

Oh man if my knees and back wouldn't be hurting enough from pulling it out on the ground. Let alone being crouched over the trans. I give you props :woott: You gotta do what ya gotta do though.

I'm glad I have a spare trans laying around that I can build and take my time with.

Just had the fast relearn done. This trans is awesome! Shifts so nice and crisp. Lock up is one of those "Oh my god" moments. Love it.

Just installed c3 and c4 clutch assemblies

Clearances are not what I'd like them to be...c3 are way above sun coast spec and c4 isn't much better

Guessing I need new clutches?

C3 I got .112...sun coast calls for .070-.085

Minerigger what did you end up doing to fix this?

I ended up pulling everything apart and I super cleaned all the parts. Used solvent on everything and then blew it dry. Put a new c4 clutch pack in and the Goerend PTO covers and a new 1058. Also put a ratio tech( mike l) spring in and modified the converter flow valve. Used lots of assembly lube and a few quarts of dex 3 for lube and reassembled. Took it to a shop 2 days later for a fast relearn and she has been great. Clicks off shifts like nothing, smooth as butter. Pretty much love it

Hopefully this time next week I will be loving my trans as well. There is lots of info on here from everyone. I'm pretty confident that my first build will go smoothly as so many people on here have answered all my worries already.

Yea. I had ended up purchasing a new input shaft from a guy in Georgia. He also builds transmissions. Any and all of my questions he answered for me. It was awesome.
