I have a trans leak that seems to be leaking a good amount of fluid. From what I can tell seems to be leaking between the oil pan of the motor and trans. Any possible answers on this one? Curious as to how serious it may be...Its at the dealership but they wont know until they check it out tomorrow. The trucks a 06

Thanks

If it is the LBZ in your sig, then it is probably a mismatch with your front pump seal and the Dex 6 fluid. The Dex 6 will destroy your front seal because of incapatability. Thank GM for that one.

What's the "right or best" fluid to use Mike?
I've had a nuisance leak since the day I had my trans built, never dripped a drop before that...

Took it back to the builder a year later and he tore it down and went through it and replaced the C3's I think, just cuz I guess, but he said everything looked great. As a precautionary measure he sealed every bolt head and the pump with RTV and it still leaks, about a U.S quarter sized drop every time I park it...

Other than the drip the truck shifts great and the trans stays cool, I was told to use, and he used Merc5 for fluid...
Thanks in advance for any insight

Mercon V may not be compatible with the front seal in the Alli. Never tried it. I do know that using Dex 3 in a Ford unit that requires Mercon V will shift like shit and cause damage. Not a good idea playing with fluid without knowing exactly which addative package was installed.
