Trans Issue??

I'll do my best to explain this. When I start from a red light the truck goes through the gears fine, but when it hits 5th, after the shift maybe 1 second or so I feel a jerk. It does this maybe 90% of the time for the last 2-3 months. There are no flares on the shifts and I only notice this in 5th gear. Any ideas what it could be? Converter possibly? I had a programmer on the truck for maybe 40k miles or so but it's back to stock now. The truck has about 65k on it. Thanks for any help.

You could be feeling the converter lock up.

That's what I was thinking, but it is a relatively new thing, would it lock up like that being stock?

ya they all do it.

Try this, next time you feel it, just after the jerk slowly roll into it, if it starts to work the truck then its the converter locking up.

ok I'll try that tomorrow on my way to work, it just seems odd to me that it never did this before.

As stated above, the TCC tends to apply on top of 5th gear. Normal.
