that was the longest damn trip ive done in my truck in a long freakin time. First of all, steve jinxed us thursday night after one mis hap happend and said "its gunna be a long night". sure as shit it was lol. We curised 75mph all the way to cali and averaged 15mpg with a head wind
. very happy about that. EGTs we about 900-1000 but never got over 1100 on any hill unless i decided to floor it to see how fast we could get up the hill and still the max i could hti was 1400
Got to mikes at 5am our time, 4am cali and we found some sheep mike keeps hidden on the side to keep us warm till he showed up. :woott:. Mike and Sal had to do Vege-tacos (fellow new comer on here) first and steves was up next. After steves tear down, the C3s were shot. one or two of the clutches had lost all the laminated material, with some starting to loose material. the other clutches looked really good concidering its had 3 years and 30k of hard abuse on it. Mike put all new clutches back in and after the trans was back together, it went from trans stand to a running/driving truck in 25min (you talk about working fast!).
After mike and steve went on the test drive we loaded the truck back on the trailer and headed to napa to put a belt on my truck (i noticed mine was on the verge of shredding in blythe, 4 hours from cali). put a belt on and headed home. got to phoenix at 1am and unloaded steves truck so he could get home and i headed home to pass out.
all in all it was a hell of an adventure and mike, i had an awesome time hangin out at the shop all day with ya. you definitley got some entertaining storys
. thank you for all the help again and a great time at the shop (including the sheep :rofl
. BTW, i have a list coming your way, its a bit late in the day i know but damn im tired lol.
