I need to get my 5spd built soon, within the next 3 weeks and am trying to find reputable builders near me.

Mike L is across the country, Merchant is half way across...

I have a call into George (big dipper) but hes not sure if he can get it in.

Any other suggestions? Im in Upstate NY.

And I want it as close to bullet proof as possible, one day I could do twins etc.

Any info would be great, thanks

I'd hold out and wait for George, but there are some good shops in CT that can do an alli. You can talk to Ben at BT Diesel works (look in the vendor section), and there is also Matt at champion transmitions that also builds a stout allison from what I hear if you cant wait for George to fit it in

I would call George (four one zero - 960 - six 0 one 5) or Ben Tyler (860- 395- seven two eight eight).

see if either one can accommodate your schedule, both can build you a nasty transmission.

Turn the tune down, be patient and wait for George, Ron ;) I would suggest calling Ben as well but I doubt his schedule would allow him to build your transmission any quicker, but maybe worth the call??

Ron, I just talked to George- he hasnt told anyone that he couldnt do a trans for them in the next three weeks. He did talk to you and you told him that the only day that you could bring the carry in was 4/28- which he said that he wasnt sure he could do. If you told him about doing it anytime between now and the next three weeks I know that he would do it. But you need to make sure that you post the whole story on the internet- and not just half of it :thumb:

Good luck- Steven

George did mine on a sunday! im sure he'll do yours. He's a great guy i drove seven hours to have him do it ,got there at 9:00am back on the road by 1:00 and that was because we were shooting the S@#t.I highly doubt he cant squeeze you in in a 3week period:eek:

Minor miscommunication, hopefully all cleared up with George via text. I meant I was looking to have it built in 3 weeks, not within and was looking to make the trip on the 28th due to funds becoming available and having a friend available to drive down, I didn't mean that was the only day I could do it. My apologies for any confusion.

George is a good guy and great builder. I haven't heard from Mat at champion in a while? Really stand up helpful guy too.
