That is called a bump box that works with the transbrake to help turbocharged cars stage and build boost

Wow that's bad ass!

Quick question and it seems this is a good place to ask. Some car and trucks (h&s white lightening to give a specific example) will roll up to the beams, then to scoot forward and light the staging lights the truck makes a clicking sound and pops forward about an inch or two, what is that? Trans brake?

H&S is running a BTS 4r100 and Brian made them a tail housing that has big ass roller bearings in it. You put co2 pressure to those bearings and they clamp to the tail shaft of the trans acting like a trans brake. When you hear that popping noise they are interrupting the signal to the air solenoid to get the truck to move forward into the lights.

Good job guys keep up all the hard work!!

Why don't you utilize that BTS feature on your transmission then?

Brian said its still in the testing stages. Once it gets the approval from H&S then I'm sure I will have it. It would be nice because I have a hard time at the line holding the truck back.

They were having troubles keeping the co2 pressure sealed inside the new unit, it would blow past the seals into the tail section of the trams and fill the pan with that co2 pressure, enough pressure it actually ballooned the trans pan and spit tranny fluid all over the starting line. That as at the beginning of the season though, sounds like those issues were redesigned and solved since.

Only if steve cole allows it.:angel:

Steve was involved from the beginning Mike and from your earlier post about not happening I guess you were in the dark...

Steve didn't design the trans brake want to make that clear, he just made some of the other parts for the trans. he new about it though, you not so much
