Yea I read that but its not acting up in any way to assume its the converter wouldn't it drive differently?

instead of assuming, i would ask first. Mike is the guru at these trans and knows them inside and out. id start by trying to diagnose the TC and not looking everywhere else. throwing parts at it just leads to you spending a ton of money and maybe fixing it.

no idk what to do with this problem. dumbasses at the trannyy shop say nothings wrong and reading right so makes no sense on why this woud over heat . not slipping not slamming into gear.

Ok so I might be a complete dumb ass lol I added a quart of tranny fluid went on a road trip not hauling anything an only got to around 180-190I so I think the overheating was just the fluid.also I had a tech 2 hooked up and they couldn't find out how to check the TC

Wow! The first first rule when owning any vehicle especially a diesel is.... Maintenance!

If you want to kill parts quick, dont change the fluids or filters. You need to pull the pan and change the internal filter, change the spin on and refill the trans with Dexron. Is it 4 or 5 for a 5 speed?

So drain your transmission and change the filters, fill it to proper level with the proper fluid and go from there, you can do it in your driveway, then see how it runs. :thumb:
