So nobody has any input?

Not to sound like a prick but guys are not going to help you when you are selling tunes... Its one thing to say hey guy's i'm working on this tune someone want too give it a try?.... it has this and this modified it is called feedback and i bet some guys would help you out. It seems like you are soliciting information that will benefit you in sales... while not being a vendor.

I think it is a valid questions and not something that would breach market share of custom tuners. One of the best ways to get this answered is to make a phone call to one of the custom tuners (they are very helpful) but it is nice for the rest of us to read the solutions as well.

so...you tune on the side. How did you build the tunes you are selling? Did you ask for help of try it out? Im sure you did plenty of testing the tunes you sell..I dont get it, why dont you build this tune like you would any other...

Not being an ass, but just go try it out, and see then you will learn something on your own.

I tried to post once asking what pullers wanted to see in a pulling tune and this board took it the wrong way and thought I wanted help making a tune. Which was not the case. We'll see how my pulling tunes work in 2 weeks before I offer them for sale.

I have tried it out and It is hard to tell if the changes that I make take effect not to mention I only get one hook a week so u have to choose wisely on the trial and error like I said if Someone wants to be a douche and not answer that's fine. (I dont mean to sound like a prick either)

Try setting it so you will notice and then go out on the street and play with it. You can set it so high/low that you will notice it. Doesnt have to be on the track.

Yeah that's a good idea I was just wondering if the notations rang true about the selector being in drive versus for example third gear

In my experience, they only work when the transmission is in D, but I have a 6 speed.

That is what I figured ,it's kind of a crappy option now that means you have to start in d then count the shifts and shift down to three hopefully in time to not hit fourth unless your capable of forth which I am not yet unless track cond r perfect

I hate to point out the obvious, but why not just raise the 3-4 shift point so it won't upshift?

I considered that also but up until now I did not trust it. However now I am pretty sure of what it will do and when I appreciate all the help. I do however have one more question I don't know if u have any experience with I was experimenting with a first gear delete for a while. I quit using it due to how violent it would go from first to second in the brief moment it is set for say two hundred rpms. Is it normally volent with first gear deleted or was it due to me boosting at take off?

If you have 1st gear deleted it should not even shift from 1st to 2nd should start in 2nd then shift to 3rd

First gear is deleted but the rpms were set for 200 so there was a brief hesitation then it seemed like all of a sudden during spoiling the converter locked and it engaged very hard. I don't know how something did not break?

Like Henry said it shouldn't have been in first while spooling. Every now and then they like to downshift if you are at 0% TPS and 0 mph. As soon as you roll you feel it shift. If you boost up while it is in 1st it is not good, you'll get the harsh 1->2 shift.

I just did a TCM tune for my dad's truck that had a 1st gear delete and wouldn't shift up to 4th. It worked pretty well. I have noticed the bump you get, but if you just touch the throttle it should bump to 2nd, then you can start rolling into it to build boost without it shifting again until it goes to 3rd.

Maybe my technique was wrong. I am hesitant to try again as I don't know how it managed to not spit the tranny out on the ground. It seems to work as it should in high range it is just another story in low
