hey all, i was curious to know if there are any differences in the allison 6 speed 06- 07. i am going to buy an used one and install it while i get my almost shot 1 rebuilt the right way. i want to make sure i dont buy something of no use. can i use one out of a 3500? gm/chev, does it matter? anything? does the codes yh1 or yh3 mean anything? thx in advance.

just make sure if your truck is a 4x4 get a 4x4 trans... other than that you should be fine:thumb:

make sure you have hole in bell housing for Input speed sensor. LMM's do not have this.

excellent, thank you very much. is there any way with it sitting on the floor, you can tell if its good? it apperently came out of a write off. just a little nervous. thx.

Didn't the 07 classic's with an LBZ also come without the ISS hole in the bellhousing?

LMM came without the IS hole.
