I sell the Allison filters for 10 bucks. I pay 7.90. They are not ceramic coated and I did not make them. They will not solve your overheating problems or make you go faster. They just do what they are suppose to do and not made in China like every other spin on made.
:spit:
Disclaimer that "someone else" should use as well!!;)

I have heard that using a flushing machine can cause certain valves to move when they shouldn't and can cause a problem. I have no experience with this and don't want to. Let the Alli pump do the work as prescribed by the engineers.:D

Are you referring to a pressurized flushing machine?? I only ask because I dealt with some from a company called BG. They supposedly let the trans pump do the work, simply pulling off one of the cooler lines and tagging in two lines from the machine. Is one of those machines ok to use??

Thats the one we have from Matco. You leave the truck run and it adds no pressure to the system, just drains and allows the other tank to start filling system back up.It measures how much you take out and what to put back in.Twon tank system.

That sounds like the best and most logical way to do it to me. I wonder how much that would cost to do?

i wouldn't at all use one from Autozone... the Allison is is frickin cheap man like 12$ and some places they can be found for slightly less... I order mine from Mike:hug: is it really worth saving a few dollars per filter to potentially have a sick Allison?

Oh and for the record my dealer here charges 60 bucks for one.

I've got one. I made sure I didn't lose it last time when I changed the spin on

Cool, same setup it sounds like. Prefill the machine with new fluid, splice into cooling line, let truck run, automatically goes into bypass once its flushed trans. I know the machine was about that same price, a service at the dealer was around 125$ for the flush.

Also the allison cooler fittings are a lot bigger than those used on other vehicle so we (at least us) wound up having to source bigger fittings to adapt to the cooler lines.

This one has the fittings for the allison and it has a setting to just drain the pan also.

cool. I quit screwing with them 5 years ago so they've probably changed a lot since then. Used to have to fix the damn things..... talk about a pain in the ass. My banana fingers dont fit into tight places real well :D
