tranny question

I was wondering if the throttle position sensor had anything to do with my tranny shifting funny. My tranny shifts from 3nd back to 2nd "SOMETIMES" when taking off from a stop when i am hardly on the throttle. i have 160,000 miles on the tranny. Other than this problem the tranny shifts fine when i get on the throttle from a stop. I have tried many things even doing as tranny relearn with my PPE tuner. The tranny is not throwing any codes i just don't know what it could be. Thanks

The TPS does play a big role on the commanded down shifts , but if it was defective i am sure would be seeing other symptoms , is this a new problem or always been that way , one thing to remember is the heavier the throttle it will make it down shift , with some more info we may be able to help but as of now i don't know whether what your describing is just a personal cork with the OEM TCM tuning or a actual problem . BTW if it is just a cork it can be fixed / changed with EFI .
