Years ago we missed the top ring on the input shaft of an '02 ( TCC feed ) and the truck didn't code for 90 miles. Finally threw a P0741.

Thanks a lot guys, I really appreciate all the help.
When I get home I'll monitor the other parameters you guys mentioned. What kind of numbers do I want to see with them?
Also which PID can you look at to tell you if your clutch packs are slipping to much?

So i think this pretty much covers the stuff you guys told me to log. I didn't know how to get the log off my v2 so I just took a video of it. Can you guys tell me what you think? Is everything ok?

This run went from 0-60 normal acceleration then a quick run up to 80.

That looks fine to me....seems to be working normally.

Ok that's kind of what I gathered, I just wanted a second opinion.

Thanks again guys I really appreciate all the input!

On another note, I got my Alligator tranny cooler lines yesterday and plan on putting them in here pretty soon. How much fluid will I lose when I do that?

Depends on how long the lines are disconnected from the trans.

Will seem like there are gallons and gallons in those damn lines. I took mine out, put the new end caps on the inlet and return lines on the Allison and just capped them while I fished the stock lines out which was the biggest PITA.

Find a plug that will fit in/on the old trans lines. It will be kinda messy either way.

Do you have a lift or are you doing it on the ground?

Lift.... I wish lol. I'll be doing them on the ground. How much did you end up loosing by just capping them off like that Matt?

Still easily doable :) I usually don't have a lift either.

I honestly couldn't tell you, I ended up having to pull the trans to get the upper oil pan out so I drained it.

Guessing a little over a quart between what was in the trans lines and what made its way out when I pulled the lines off the trans and put the new ends on.

Changed my tranny lines today. Kit was great but when I took the bottom line on the radiator out (which was a bitch) it leaked what appears to be coolant. It would do it worse if I stuck my finger in there but once I got the plug in there and snugged down it stopped. Talked to Alligator about it and they said this sometimes happens and the inside cracks a little and lets coolant out and it will cause the leak but most of the time will seal back up, and just keep an eye on it. Any of you guys have any experience with this? I took my truck out and drove it around for like 20 minutes and checked the fluid and it was still red, had no mikiness to it at all.

Here's a picture of the fluid I was talking about next to some tranny fluid for reference (like I said I believe its coolant)

Overall though the It was a great kit, and the customer support is second to none.

Id fix that, coolant in that trans and your going to need new clutches.

And thats what worried me but Alligator said they wouldn't worry about it unless the fluid turns milky (showing that there is indeed mixture of trans fluid and coolant).

They said most of the time when you put the new connector back in it will seal itself back up.

Little update. I have check my tranny fluid several times using the hot skillet technique and have found no water in there and there is also no ATF in my coolant so it seems all is well.

Now on to my other issue I was having with the torque converter. I have played with a couple different tunes and it seems the torque converter is indeed slipping on the higher horse tunes but on the one I'm on now it seems ok. Now in your guys opinion would it be a waste to just upgrade the converter vs doing a full out build? Also what converter would you recommend if I just want to stay around 90-120 hp over stock and what do shops charge to just replace the converter?

Thanks again guys I appreciate all the help I've received
