I have never used anti sieze on a pan bolt. I don't think you will find anyone that has put more pans on than I have in 45 years of doing this shit. Name your so called builder.

He is a local guy here, I don't think it was the trans builder's fault, I believe that the issue lies with a certain shop that did subsequent work on the truck. The same one that couldn't figure out how to unplug the turbine speed sensor, so they just busted it...then zip-tied it back together and didn't say anything hoping no one would notice. :spit:

The same shop who's "professional" tuner has sent who knows how many trucks to the shop with busted engines, one I know of personally 3 times. All while telling the owners that their truck will hold over 500 HP forever...

For anyone else with this type of problem, an impact driver is a great tool for loosening stuck bolts or screws.

had the same thing happen on my 4l80-e mh pan, the guys that put it in did not read the "30 in-lbs only" engraving on the pan, the trans is shorting out again, and still under warranty, so not my problem now

Correct plus if you have an allen head bolt that is loose on your socket; use a torx bit instead. They fit tighter.

yes i did try these things before getting really pissed off bout it an the allan head bolt an socket were not loose but after they started slipping i tried everything including what you said an thanks for the input an help im not the first with a problem this shop has had an MIKE_S the builder did go over and help bryce pull now it may be bryce that put it on but who knows when i asked the builder who i'll leave nameless he wouldnt help me with any of my issues even though i got him thousands of dollars in work he said its my fualt things were going wrong with it an nothing was wrong with the trans?? but i dunno it drove much better last night needs to relearn what its like to have line pressure again i think shifted crazy but started the relearn an its getting better.

also....why not use anitsieze there steel bolts into a aluminum housing just seems like a good security thing to do to keep things from galling up?? i used the crap on my up pipe bolts that mount to the pedistal makes them easy to get off an no backing out issues yet though i have herd of that being a problem but all is well just needed to rant bout shit :D

There is no reason why you can't use anti-seize nor is there a reason to have to use it. They're only pan bolts and shouldn't be over tightened to the point removal is an issue.

I've NEVER had this problem with the factory shallow ,deep or alum pan. In my opinion as soon as you discovered the bolts weren't coming out you should have driven to the builder and asked him WTF!
