Far too many negative stories with ATS transmissions... some are good, but too often do you hear horror stories. Not saying ATS sucks, just saying it's too iffy to take that chance with one of their transmissions...

Where are you located??.. who's building it will have a huge impact on the outcome...

I can't believe this is being discussed again!

I'm surprised ATS sells any transmissions. Just remember with a ATS you get a Iron Clad warranty with a license to beat the shit out of it and have it replaced!

I agree with the builder being the most important aspect of a good quality lasting transmission but what happens when you get a drop in complete unit from ATS and they fail? Just saying

The choice is yours go with your purse and the reputation of which brand you select.

If I was in the market today for a transmission I know what I would do. I'd for the ump th-tean time start a thread on duramaxdiesels asking for everyones opinion and watch the deck get stacked favoring Suncoast ! :roflmao:

What else?

So asking options for what tranny I should put in my Duramax on a forum called Duramax Diesels was a bad idea?? Ok what should I have done? Figured I can get more knowledgable opinions on here than anywhere else.

Didn't mean anything bad just that I've seen this topic discussed numerous times. Sure you can start your own thread and not search but just reading along here you will see that Suncoast transmissions are in most trucks from mild to wild as they have had very and I do mean very little problems and 99.9 % of those that had a problem were the result of bad building.

There I said it make this a sticky! :D
