Went to park my truck and the drive indicator doesn't illuminate or park indicator. Truck drives but won't shift out of third.i can get 3rd to illuminate but not d or p

Yes it is an easy fix. They can be a PITA to adjust properly sometimes tho. NSBU switch is located on the driver side of the trans.
I just looked at it doesn't look to bad. Of course there is one for a 4 speed for $40 and the one for the 5 speeds is $200
The 4 speed NSBU from napa works just fine. I havent had any problems with them.

I thought so too. I had to get one when i was in a bind and it worked fine. I have put them on 4 other lb7 trucks who didnt want to spend the extra $50 bucks for the allison one.
allison shares NSBU with 4L60e, and it shares the PSM with the 4T40e.
4L60 torque converter bolts work great with the allison too.
