Trailer wheels/tires

I currently have 14 ply Goodyear's 90% tread 235/85 16 on steel wheels on our trailer. Have a set of vision alu's 19.5 with 16 ply hankook 225/70's on them, 80% tread laying here. This may be a stupid question, but is there any drawbacks to running the 19.5's? Run a 14k gooseneck at max capacity all the time. Never unladen or any lighter. Anyone have experience in the matter?

19.5s are skiddish when empty especially at max cold psi on rough roads
Only negative ive found

personally like cooper rm170 for steers and trailer tires

So no negatives in my scenario since its never empty, except getting it to and from storage for 3 mi once a year? Easy enough to try them out I guess.... The hankook tread pattern is more suited to drive tires though.

Pretty much they will sink little faster on soft ground due to being a narrower tire than your 16"s

Seems overkill for a 14k trailer to me. I use a 14k bumper pull daily and I use Cooper Discovery LT tires and I have been very pleased with them. I usually get between 70 & 80k out of them and they are under $200 a piece.

I pay ~150.00 each and get ~150k out of the said coopers i mentioned
