YAMAHA all the way!!!

those are some clean rides guys.

i have been driven away from dirtbikes because of too many accidents (hence why i sold it) switched over to the crotch rocket but havent really used it since i got in april 70 miles on it so far but it sure is purdy. i enjoy doing my thing with the raptor more trails and dunes..... sure was alot cheaper to fix the 450 than the raptor when i broke something.

i have an 09' R6 (red and white) 08' raptor 700 SE (red and white) sold- 06 yzf 450 (blue)

good luck with the bike and ride safe:thumb:

Hey Teabagger, I sure miss riding the Armagosa dunes. You gotta love riding in the desert. I sold my bike to, last trip to the hospital was broken collar bone, scapula, 3 ribs, punctured lung, & some new Titanium hardware, that sucked. Anyhoo I retired from racing after that, but can't get the dirt bikes out of my blood. When I get out the frozen hell hole I'm in now I'll get another one, no more racing though.

the amargosa dunes are the best. nobody goes there so you usually have the whole place to yourself plus its free. thats where i go 90% of the time. had an accident there on my quad where i drove off a dune (not a razor) going 40+ then nose dived into another dune . bent my whole front end and bent my bars with my knees....i dont know how i got out of that one without any broken bones.i sure was hurting for the next couple weeks tho . fun part was getting my quad back to my truck. never ride alone. as for the dirt bike i never broke anything but it was getting ridiculous how manny times i was getting hurt on it. i guess im paranoid now but i will never give the off road life up. im still wondering why i got the crotch rocket (its way more dangerous IMHO) id say get a quad, they go fast enough to get the adrenaline pumping

Its funny, I went through a similar scenario^^ I used to race motocross and after a bunch of broken bones and finally 2 herniated disks in my lower back, I said screw it. I sold the motocross bikes and bought a CBR so I could keep riding. I spent more time getting chased by the cops on that thing, then I care to remember:rolleyes: Yes it was less punishment on my body but I figured if I did not get rid of the CBR one of two things are bound to happen, 1. Spending some time in jail for out running cops through several counties, or 2. killing myself riding like a jack a$$. So I started buying dual purpose bikes like the WR's and getting back into it. Now 10 years later and countless numbers of dirt bikes, quads, and 4 CBR's, and a Harley, I am back on a motocross bike again:banghead::D Dirt bikes are the only thing I have ever found that totally clear my mind, theres nothing like it, you are concentrating so hard on what you are doing everything else get's set aside for the moment.:mike:
