Anyone ever tried a "slide-a-link" type traction aid?

FYI, Think a tube traction bar with one of the tubes sliding inside the other, during axle rotation the tubes compress (slide) togather against an adjustable stop. Point is you can have free-moving suspension and have pre-load on it during suspension compression/ axle rotation and control weight transfer better. The stop in bought ones have a polyurethane cushion in the stop so it dosnt shock so hard and unload the suspension. More of a drag race setup.

Competition Engineering makes the ones im refering to, but its all gasser/drag car stuff.
Slid-a-Links and Cal-tracs were really touted as awsome in hi-power small/street tire drag cars. I dont see any reason why we couldn't make our own special telescoping bars for our trucks. Only issue i could see here is lubrication of the telescoping section, it needs to stay lubed and clean so it doesnt wear and sqweak. I thought about that, we could fit a small rubber boot over that area to keep contaminates out. It could prolly be fitted with a lube zerk. Use of a good syn grease like Redlines stuff. Keep a couple of bar lash wrenches in the truck to adjust preload to conditions. Of course you can pre-load regular bars but thats how they stay less you back them off again.

I have square one on mine. we actally found a bung that meets right up wit the square tube and looks like a solid bar. Me and my brother have installed over twenty sets with square tubing and have had no problems with them at all. If you are needing someone to put them on for ya hit me up and i will give you the details.

I chose dom with 1/4 wall. It worked flawless for me all last season. I had problems with my front mounthing bracket but that was about it. As long as you use a heavy enough material they'll both work either way. Alot of good info on here.

Hahaha. I think there's a little more than a couple extra bolt holes in the mod list of your frame. Damn evil salesmen.
