Question: track width increase with 6" lift

I'm looking for a 6" lift with little or no increase in track width.

Anyone running a CST or Superlift bracket lift that can tell me what the track width increase is if any?

Are there any other makes that offer a 6" lift with very little track width increase? I want to be able to get 35x12.5 on 18's under the wheel wells.

Depends on the lift and what you run for back spacing on the rims

I would call Nick at Norcal before getting a CST

I had a 9" CST on my old 06', there is no increase in the track width since it isn't a spindle type lift. It drops down the a arms and everything a complete 6" or 9" depending on the kit you choose. Also the new centerlink that you get with the little links with heims to support it are pretty cool:thumb:

Make it faster not higher........

A 6" Tuff Country would probably be the cheapest good quality lift and you would be able to fit 35x12.5s easily - many guys run them on a 4" lift. Give me a call if you need anything, I'm a dealer and installer, just did a 4" today actually.:thumb:

Pro-Comp doesn't increase track width any. If you are into going fast I would not lift it. I have mine lifted and it is fast but could be a lot faster without the lift and big tires.

I personally like the don't do it method - drop the torsion bars down so your CVs are flat, throw some $45 drop shackles on it, make some springs clamps and go. Saves you alot of money that you could be putting into having it go a whole lot faster. The cost of tires, rims and lift could get you a built trans and tuning to be in the 12s.

4" is for guys that want to run 33s with the CVs flat so they can race or pull without touching the suspension. They have a nice ride (unlike green keys) and don't slow their trucks down too much.

3/8 '' increase with the TC kit.

If your going to lift get a 6'', you'll be much happier.

Depends on what you want.

If you want to go fast ONLY then dont lift.

If you want high looks and still great perf. get a lift.

But 12 sec times are no problem for lifted trucks. Put your stock tires on at the strip.

I wouldnt trade my 6'' lift for anything, Love it!!

My only problem with lifts is I have never driven a lifted truck that didn't drive like total crap. And that is including the 2010 LMM that had 500 miles on it that I drove a few days ago.

While I don't like lifts on Duramax's for myself I have to disagree. Tim's 6" TC rides just fine. The 4" I did this week also rode fine. And Jonathan's 4-6" Cognito with Bilstien's rides really nice.
