I've had both Nitto 420S and currently running Toyo Proxy ST2... I like them both and have ran both at the track. I got the Proxy this time because everyone has Nitto where I live.

I've always had the 420s as well but as said above everybody in thier brother now days is running them. The Cooper Zeon LTZs are a great option to!

It seems weird to me that anyone would be concerned with there being too many people running a specific tire. These aren't shoes and we're not women. Lol

Finally somebody making some sense.

This isn't a black wheel fad, people run them because they work good not because they look good, although they do a good job at both.

Had 2 sets of st2s, never had 420s. I like the toyos I have 17 inch lmm wheels that are 7.5 inches wide, if i run them a little low on pressure with my skinny wheel they do well, and they last fairly well to. And they do good in the snow if that matters to you.

I think the Toyo hook better than the Nitto... Regardless if everyone running them. My .02... It's your truck do what you want

I run nitto's and have used them in the snow. They did better than I expected, although they don't compare to a mud terrain. Never been a fan of the new toyo tread.

Only downside is I noticed the nitto's wear down noticeably faster when towing.

The nittos did way better than I would have expected in the snow and did better one ice than my Terra grapplers did.

They are definitely not a snow tire though obviously...
