Pretty cool video about weight distribution. I've had it happen to me within 2 miles of home going under 45MPH hauling a skidsteer, I thought I'm close to home it won't happen to me. Luckily was able to stop before wrecking. Saw a guy in a ditch after leaving an auction once because he had to much weight on the back of the trailer. Watch this 13 second video, pretty neat.

Very good video. I had this happen to me with Newlys old race truck back in 2010. I loaded it on backwards and wasn't enough weight on my LBZ. Dan near wrecked both. Won't ever tow a truck backwards again.

you can load a truck backwards, you just better have a trailer long enough to get the weight on the tongue. I towed steves truck from his place in tucson to mikes and back with it loaded backwards on a 30ft tongue pull. even through that windy ass pass by palm springs the trailer never wagged (steve lost a mirror though :D).

all about weight placement. i also would purposely load my weight distribution bars light on the truck when i had my old tongue pull 30ft toy hauler with the samurai in the back of it. putting that zuk in the back took alot of weight off the tongue and leaving the bars lighter on the truck never gave me an issue.

Nah, you guys have it all wrong. You don't need a long trailer to tow a truck backwards, you just need a fat truck like mine with "good" weight distribution. My truck is 55% front, 45% rear. Barely tell a difference which way it goes on the trailer :thumb:
And that was before I installed the lift gate. Probably a perfect 50/50 now

I hauled a Ford van to NY from Va and in the first 8 miles nearly rolled it Fortunately My Guardian Angels were working and I knew from 3 million miles of Tractor trailer not to slam on the brakes but it scared me. Will never haul another van. Too top heavy.
