egt's are normal, i don't think the exhaust is plugged.

Yes they are it gets to 1250 at most when going up a hill and its between 800 and 1050 on most sometimes it does get to 1250 but i try to back out of it even though IK its fine.I am going to pull radiator and have it flowed to make sure even though it cools itself right down when i pull over or get on the flats or run down hill

I say clutch fan. I know jason has a couple extra.
Hey Dave, how about you make a Signature so we all can see the details (mods) of the truck, and you could even throw a shameless plug in there for yourself! No one knows that you did the machine work and shortblock assembly for the motor in. 1Badmax
You deserve some credit. ;)

i would replace the fan clutch first before the radiator. jmo, unless somebody forgot to remove a towel or rag from the radiator that was plugging a hole during motor swaps, then that definitely could be a possibility.

I dont think its the fan clutch but it may be not spinning fast enough when towing?:confused:

Whats a signature??

Jay knows what i did... Jay,Billy and Guy @ socaldiesel are the ones who got jay where he is.He is happy with the work I did and hasnt had any problems so i am happy to know he is happy and if he chooses to let people know i can provide my services for them, and if he puts out a good word I am happy, word of mouth is the best form of advertisement. Thanks for the plug shawn see i dont have to blow my own horn :D;) Jay and Billy told me when they looked at it everything looks new I wish i woulda been able to see it apart to inspect things with them but they were pressed for time

Now enough about that I want my TUNE BACK in my truck so i can have some fun so YOU must get over here asap!

Bad Turbo. boost line, exhaust leak would be all the things to check.

Post that part number for the exhaust housing you swapped. Im sure someone here will know what the App is. Maybe it is the cause of the low boost and overheat issue you are having.

Do you have a bug screen in front of your rad? This can cut the airflow through it quite dramatically? I've been told by half but I can't confirm that. I just realized this thread is quite old. I hope you have your problem solved by now.
