Tow/Haul mode, LMM Swap in an 84 C30

Hi guys and gals. I just built an 84 C30 3+3 dually with an 08 LMM/Allison. It is a stand alone harness and I have the original bcm from the donor truck. I am trying to get tow/haul to work by adding the bcm back into the swap harness and so far it's been a rough go at it. Has anyone tried this or am I in uncharted territory?

Is there any other options to get tow/haul to work with an LMM? I'm towing a 14k lb goose neck enclosed trailer. Not sure if I can get away with not having it, but It sure would be nice to have the extra engine and trans braking.

Don't mind the turd status, I'm still working the bugs out before I paint it.

Could always copy all the tow haul tables into the regular mode tables in the TCM until you get it figured out.

I didn't think you could do that with efi live. I was under the impression that it only flashes the ecm?

Good thing too, it only takes about 30 seconds to flash the TCM, so it wouldn't be too much of a headcahe to switch back and forth until you get the T/H figured out.

Fwiw duratothemax or Ben Tyler of BT Diesel Works could probably tell you all you need to know. He has some sweet BCM tuning out that can give you a few neat upgrades like manual high idle.

Thanks Harbin22, but for that to work I would need to get my BCM to work in my standalone setup. So far that doesn't seem to be my strong suit... lol

I did not build it myself. I used a guy named Ken Wolkens at Standalone harness.

Thank you a ton for the offer man! I don't have efi live. I used a local guy that did my tuning for me. I asked him about it before, but I thought he told me he couldn't flash the tcm. I could be mistaken though.

I've got a stock fresh Lmm tcm file I can send to who ever for you. You can just have your tuner flash the tcm. Or have someone bench flash you one and exchange you

I'll start one here. I don't have a ton of picture cause I started the build, then I wrecked my race car at the track and went into full rebuild mode on it, then I started back up on the dually. lol No damn wonder I'm getting gray hairs!
